What’s to like about THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN?
Women lead film
A bit different from the original
Covers all the aspects like blackmail, betrayal, murder, vengeance and police investigation
Plot twist
Some questionable loopholes
It seems that after half time the movie seems to lose its trajectory. Some questionable things are that if Mira (Parineeti) did know Jimmy Bagga then how she seems to have missed who her daughter is.
What do we have to say about it?
We would like to give a ⅗ stars. Though it seems a full package but it still misses some things.

Story Line –
The story line is based on a criminal mastermind who calls himself the Professor who brings 8 thieves to lock themselves and take hostages of the Royal Mint and the Bank of Spain as he guides the thieves and tells them the further elaborated plan. The interesting thing is Professor gave names of all the thieves the name of the cities.
Our Views –
(Spoiler Alert!!)
The part focuses on starting the elaborated heist. First starts with getting all the thieves together at a place and giving them a name like Tokyo, Berlin, Nairobi, Moscow, Rio, Denver, Helsinki and Oslo.
They start the heist of the Royal Mint. The police assign the negotiator and Professor involved romantically with her.
In this part or in fact in the whole series we can see that almost for every hiccup in the plan the Professor has a counter plan lined up and everything goes good.
The role of the Professor has given justice to his role very flawlessly. I have enjoyed many Spanish shows but this turns out to be one of the best one.
As this is the first part and the story just starts to unfold and the anticipation is very high and it’s so fun to see all the problems the heist gives to the thieves and how the professor guides.
In the part 2 of money heist it can be seen that it has been rushed as compared to the first season. There are times when we hate Tokyo due to her deeds in the heist and how that creates trouble for the Professor.
Here Berlin dies and at that point starts to get very attached with him. But he then sacrificed himself for the team.
At the end of part 2, after the heist is completed we get back and start thinking that there is no way this story can continue but then they throw a romantic angle which is then led to a new vendetta seeking heist.
All the actors have their adequate importance and all did their part very flawlessly. Even though you enjoyed the part 1 and 2 very much there still might be chances that you may not enjoy the part 3 and 4.
We can see that now it’s not only the question of heist but this time it’s personal and they even face betrayal from their own inner circle.
In the upcoming part 5 the show takes a U turn and some angle might be explored in the heist.

Our Views –
First of all the plot set is amazing and some of the twists shown throughout the season are mind blowing. It focuses mainly on the extent to which a parent can go to protect its family. Sushmita really did come back with a bang. This series can get you hooked up very easily and you will complete in a weekend.
Though it has its own share of melodrama and fluff and sometimes it feels very predictable scenes but other than that its a much watch. The series contain of 9 episodes each of approximately 1 hour long so technically it would just take 9 hours to complete the whole series in a go ( if you are a binge watcher).

Story line –
Arya’s life changes when she is brutally gang-raped by a group of spoiled rich students from her school and two of their house helps. Her stepmother seeks justice and takes the help of a detective to teach the perpetrators a lesson. Devki, a biology teacher, seeks help from DK, a private detective, and vows to get revenge after her stepdaughter’s rapists are acquitted by the court.
Our Views-
The movie plays Sridevi as the central character. And it is a revenge based plot seeks by the rape victim’s mother (Sridevi) on the culprits. The story is like “PINK” but this movie does not show the faults in the justice system but how a common mother seeks revenge. Regardless the differences her 18 year old daughter has with her, still that does not stop her from taking revenge for her.
The best moments of the film are all the different ways she meets DK (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), be it in the art gallery of ‘Modern Art’ or be it at the metro station or any other place. The movie gives many messages and it focuses on how the whole family all goes through the trauma which the victim also goes through.
Thankfully there is not much melodrama unlike other typical bollywood films. And I especially liked the tactics Sridevi used to take revenge. Sridevi and Nawazuddin Siddhiqui has been flawless as ever but Akshay’s role could have given more depth being the main investigating officer of the case.
This movie was the last movie of Sridevi and she did an outstanding job. May her soul rest in peace.
